About Chelsea Harris

Chelsea Harris (Feuer) is a seasoned courtroom attorney whose decade-long career spans the full breadth of Tennessee's courtrooms, from high-profile jury trials in Memphis to the most serious felony cases before Knox County's criminal bench. A University of Tennessee, Knoxville alumna, she earned her Juris Doctor, with a Certificate in Advocacy, from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law in 2015.

After becoming licensed to practice, she joined Massey & McClusky, one of the state's most acclaimed criminal defense firms, as their sole associate attorney. Chelsea then returned to East Tennessee to practice with legendary attorney James A. H. Bell across Knox and multiple surrounding counties, serving as lead counsel on most offenses involving minors. Her skills in oral advocacy were recognized when, in 2017, she was selected to deliver the demonstrative opening statement at the Tennessee Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers Trial College before an audience of hundreds of criminal defense attorneys statewide.

Driven by a calling to pursue justice regardless of a client's means, Chelsea joined the Knox County Public Defender’s Community Law Office where her results earned her a promotion to lead attorney for Division 3 Criminal Court. She gained experience representing individuals on hundreds of cases involving charges ranging from the most serious felonies to misdemeanor offenses. One of her fondest memories as an assistant public defender was obtaining a not-guilty verdict at trial alongside her husband and partner at this firm, Jacob Feuer.

What sets Chelsea apart is not only her courtroom record, but the depth of her investment in every client she represents. Those who have worked with her consistently describe an attorney who treats each case as her own, someone who sits with her clients through the hardest moments, fights tirelessly on their behalf, and remains fully committed to their outcome no matter the odds. Chelsea believes that everyone deserves vigorous, compassionate representation, and that conviction drives everything she does at Burks & Ogle.
