About Nate Ogle

Nate Ogle is a seasoned trial lawyer who serves clients across East Tennessee. He began his legal career in 2013 and has since built a reputation for being a fearless and effective advocate. His work focuses on criminal defense, family law, and personal injury cases.

Before co-founding Burks & Ogle, Mr. Ogle served eight years as a prosecutor in the District Attorney General’s Office for Knox County. There, he gained experience in serious cases including sexual offenses, internet crimes, and homicide. He has personally tried more than 50 jury trials across the region.

In addition to his work in the courtroom, Nate teaches Trial Practice as an adjunct professor at Lincoln Memorial University. He is active in several legal organizations including the Hamilton Burnett Inns of Court, the Federalist Society, and the Tennessee Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He also serves on the Knoxville Bar Association’s Judicial Committee and is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association Leadership Law class of 2025.

Nate is a graduate of the University of Tennessee with a degree in Philosophy. He earned his law degree from the Appalachian School of Law in 2013, where he was recognized for his achievements in trial and appellate advocacy. He lives in Knoxville with his wife and three children.
